If there’s one thing I love about Ghim Moh, it’s the good food and gentle buzz of the heartlands.

Every weekend – or anytime I have the time really – I take great pleasure in strolling to the market for breakfast and just watching the folks go by.

I’m not sure the new place will have this but I’ll always treasure our memories made here.

Oh, you shifting? If I were you, I’ll miss the char kway tiao at Ghim Moh market… :P

Yes, we’re shifting! And no lah, the char kway tiao there is seriously overrated. I used to think it was ALL THAT. But over the years, I realize it’s not worth the queueing. There’s way nicer stuff to eat in the market!

I love the shui jiao mian along the first row next to the duck rice. And it has remained $2 since my school days which is more than 10 years ago!

GM market brings back great memories. I used to have breakfast there with my dad on the way to work every once in a while, just dad and I, until I moved overseas. I miss those days and deeply treasure the memories I had with dad there. And so I can imagine the nostalgia…though I’m sure you’ll create new memories in your new place.
