There’s a somebody I’m longin’ to see
I hope that he, turns out to be
Someone who’ll watch over me
After weeks of staving off flu bugs from friends and family, I’ve finally come down with a bit of one myself.
My body’s been feeling very tired lately and I suppose I should really try to reduce the number of activities I try to pack in during the week in and around work. Woke up yesterday morning all bunged up and with tonsils the size of golf balls – or so it felt like. So with direction from the doc and with the help of some mild medication, I’ve been drifting in and out of sleep since.
It’s a very boring thing, being ill. One minute you’re awake and one minute you’re gone. And in between you just feel so lethargic and obviously you’re not supposed to be doing anything else but rest…. It’s so frustrating! So the one thing that’s keeping me sane at the moment is my fur kids.
Rosco keeps hopping on the bed and coming up to check on me (see above). He’ll come right up to my face and look into my eyes as I speak to him. Maybe a kiss to make me feel better on my cheek sometimes before he hops off and leaves me to it, or sometimes he’ll just wait till I drift off again. And Sally?
She’s just glad that Mummy’s home doing what she loves doing with her most ALL DAY. Sometimes I’d be sleeping on my side and she’d come nuzzling in under my arm so that I’d cuddle her. Too cute.
Sigh. My baby doggles have so much love to give.
