What’s the hurry? Ensure you nourish yrself well in order to have good milk for yr daughter is far impt

You do realize getting back to exercising or running has absolutely nothing to do with nourishing oneself? In fact, I’m more likely to nourish myself better if I add an activity to my schedule.

You don’t have to be so angsty. It’s obvious that you’re concerned about how you look and though there’s nothing wrong with wanting to get back in shape, that probably is not the main priority now. You’ve only just given birth so don’t be too hard on yourself Janice. Truth is, everyone will look tubby after pregnancy and your worth is definitely not defined by how you look. So take your time to get active again. Only when you’re ready! Take care.

Thanks Holly. Perhaps it sounds angsty… And perhaps I am a bit more on edge with the sleep deprivation! It’s probably just the nature of comments but the one before you just seemed to insinuate I don’t have my daughter’s well-being at heart which can set a cranky mother off a bit!

    Hi Janice,
I know people who have tried to get back into shape compromise on milk production for their babies when they attempt any weight loss/cardio regimes too soon. Weightbearing exercises shouldn’t be too much of an issue but maybe its safer to just be patient until your baby is less dependent on your breastmilk.

hmm i remember i was really eager to get back in shape too but it was hard cause i felt tired all the time. Bf was really tough for me. It made a difference just to go outside and get some fresh air.

Have you thought of investing in a baby jogger? I was lucky to be given one. I don’t have any helpers around so baby needs to stay with me all the time. The jogger really helps when all you need is just a stroll/walk/slow jog to freshen up. I took walks at first and then jog when the little one starts to have a schedule. I think that might be a good start to get back in shape and have the baby by your side all the time! :)

btw, naomi looks different in the bumble bee suit. I see both of you in her :D
