So according to a certain Mummy friend – and quite a few of you actually – I don’t blog enough. I’m not sure why and there’s really no explanation for it really, except that my hands have been full and come baby bedtime at 7pm, all I’ve felt like doing is monging.

Alright, alright. So I’ve been kinda lame. I’ll try to be better.

The update at the moment really is that I’ve come into a situation where Life has decided to offer me a bit of a break, so I’m stopping to smell the roses and to spend a little more time with my little one. I can’t wait to start doing part-time work and spending the remaining half of my week with my daughter. She’s changing so quickly and every single moment is becoming such a joy!

In a week or so, my little Bug will be half a year old. How is that?! Where on earth has the entire year gone? It’s been such a whirlwind.

I took her to church this morning for the first time and gave thanks. Yes, it’s been a long time coming. She is such a blessing, as are a lot of other things in my life…. A loving husband and best friend, my wonderful family, my amazing dogs. There is so much to give thanks for, and I just don’t do it enough.

The emo update ends here. Here’s to the start of a new journey…. And I’m really looking forward to it!

That’s wonderful, Janice. It’s indeed a privilege and a blessing to be able to spend that extra time with your child. I’m sure Naomi would love spending the extra time with Mummy too!

I used to read your journal years ago and then quite by accident stumbled upon it again recently and was so wonderfully surprised to see your fabulously, adorable, new addition!! It was like bumping again into an old friend!! Congratulations!

But it is wonderful to hear you will be blogging more in the near future. I, myself have also been given the rare opportunity to take 2011 off. To top things off, I have finally found HIM and planning to get married early next year and start having babies asap! (btw, I am a 35 year old dr!).

It is odd how things work out and I too have gone back to church to give my thanks. I have long thought my career should always come first but have now realised that sometimes, as women, there are other important priorities in life. Blink, and you may just miss it.

All the best for the future!
    Love from Melbourne, Oz
