IT’S not very often that Hubba and I spend our Saturday mornings so normally.
Usually, we’re out getting dirty and sweaty somewhere or we may take the morning off to lie in. But today we were out bright and early for a wedding – But
right before that, I had an appointment at the hospital for a consultation about my back. I’m scheduled for an MRI on Monday morning and another consultation on Tuesday. No riding for me this morning. Boo…
Can I just say thought? Why, oh why does one have to wait for such long periods at specialist clinics? One can only wonder… I waited a good 45 minutes before I could be seen. And I was on time too! But that’s another story for another day.
I had to remind myself that the morning was really about Melvin and Lynn and their nuptials at Wesley. And I was thankful that Hubba was beside me at the Doctor’s before we rushed down to the church.
We barely made it in time to watch them hustle down the aisle as man and wife but it was really nice to share in their joy nevertheless. I also realized that both the bride and groom had a lot of mutual friends in common with both myself and Andrew. It never ceases to amaze me how tiny the world can be, especially in Singapore.
You know, I’m not a big fan of weddings but everytime I attend one with the husband I can’t help but remember our own with fondness. It wasn’t the fanfare that made me happy but the friends and family who were there and happy for us. It was also probably the certainty about my choice that day.
Was it really over three years ago? Sigh… How time does fly. I still love the goofball though :)
